Girl Scouts of the USA was founded in 1912 in Savannah, Georgia by Juliette Gordon Low.  The Girl Scout Museum at Daisy’s Place is named after Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low’s nickname, “Daisy.” Daisy’s Place, as the museum is affectionately called, is located in the Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians’ Knoxville Service Center, and is home to historical artifacts important to the history of Girl Scouts in the Council of the Southern Appalachians and to the history of the region in general. The museum has over 100 scrapbooks that reflect the history of Girl Scouting in Eastern Tennessee.
